The Art of the Restart-the journey of starting over

I went from being fit and healthy to a hot mess as a teenager.

At 17, I was just a normal physically active teen with dreams and ambitions, but that all changed when I was diagnosed with "the kissing disease"-mononucleosis, seemed benign at the time but this was the first drop in the bucket in my chase for health. What followed was a cascade of ailments—multiple cases of strep throat, dental issues after my wisdom teeth removal; a few root canals and several cavities-unraveling my once pristine dental record, the college liquid standard American diet didn't help but what really tipped my bucket was a bad case of food poisoning that seemed to change my gut microbiome for over 25 years.

By the time I hit 20, I was grappling with debilitating gut issues, visiting the ER repeatedly, only to be dismissed with vague advice about eating more fiber and drink Metamucil. The medical community of the mid-90s had little understanding of the microbiome, labeling my symptoms as IBS without investigating further. At 30, my appendix was removed and by 40, I was facing a colorectal cancer diagnosis and HPV. This personal devastation propelled me to look deeper for answers to heal myself and those around me that were facing the similar issues. I had been in the health, fitness and wellness space for over 20 years, working as a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, nutrition coach, and life coach. Despite my professional success, I longed for more so I could really support clients who lost hope and felt they had to live with chronic inflammation and the concern that it could lead to more devastating problems. I could meet them where they were at because I felt overwhelmed by the chaos within my body—post-cancer blood work that was erratic, unexpected menopause, weight gain, and adapting to life with a permanent colostomy bag. But there was a flicker of hope. As I rebuilt my business, I stumbled upon Dr. Daniel Pompa’s cellular healing diet, which ignited a transformative journey. I shed 20 pounds and began to unravel the mysteries of my health—discovering the lurking presence of heavy metals and hidden infections in my body. Armed with knowledge, I embraced a protocol that finally healed my gut after 25 years of suffering, only to face another setback with COVID and a diagnosis of Hashimoto's disease.

Yet, through every setback, I found my purpose. By 2019, my story resonated with others, leading me to share my journey on TikTok as TracytheHopeDealer. This culminated in an invitation to Dr. Pompa’s Live it to Lead it conference and my decision to obtain my certified health practitioner certification and detox coach.

I am now better equipped with the tools and strategies to not just help someone lose weight, or shift their mindset but to find root causes to why someone is still suffering or doesn’t feel well despite all their efforts. The last three years I have worked hard at deciding what I could offer potential clients and how to help more people. I believe I offer a unique solution to obtain healing from the inside-out and provide hope to those starting over after years of suffering, coming back after cancer or establishing boundaries so they can become the best version of themselves.

I feel like Life is just beginning again for me!

Today, I have proudly launched Mosaic Wellness Hub and the Art of the Restart Academy, dedicated to helping others heal from the inside out. My journey has taught me that pain can be transformed into purpose, and I am living proof that hope is always within reach.
